What care options are actually offered at Bear Creek?

Care Fit

Bear Creek offers Assisted Living and secure Memory Care. Assisted Living is for residents who want independence with help available for daily routines, while Memory Care is designed for residents living with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. Families can talk with the team about today's needs and what a transition to a higher level of care could look like if support needs change over time.

How should we think about Assisted Living versus Memory Care?

Care Fit

Start with safety, cognition, and daily rhythm. Assisted Living may fit when a resident benefits from help with personal care, meals, housekeeping, transportation, and 24-hour staff presence but can still navigate a more open community setting. Memory Care may be the better conversation when dementia, wandering risk, confusion, or the need for a more structured day is part of the picture. Bear Creek Memory Care provides a secure neighborhood, private studio apartments, dedicated staff available 24 hours a day, daily activities, and personalized care plans.

How does the pre-move-in assessment and Care Points pricing work?

Care Fit

Before move-in, Bear Creek staff complete an assessment to understand the resident's personal care needs. In Assisted Living, individual personal care services are priced through Care Points at $20 per point, per month, and those charges are added to the basic monthly rent. Memory Care includes care up to 150 points. If a resident needs support beyond that level, additional Care Points are billed at $20 per point, per month. The assessment is the step that turns general rate information into a resident-specific estimate.

What are the Assisted Living starting rates and fees?

Costs

Assisted Living starts with studio-based apartment options: Studio at $4,150 per month, Studio Patio at $4,400 per month, and Studio Large at $4,850 per month. Other fees may apply depending on the household and apartment. Bear Creek has a $5,000 one-time Community Fee, a $2,000 monthly second-person fee, and a $1,500 one-time Community Fee for a second person. Rates are effective April 1, 2026 and subject to change, so confirm current pricing and availability with the team.

What are the Memory Care starting rates and fees?

Costs

Memory Care starts at $8,000 per month for a Studio and $9,000 per month for a Studio Large. Bear Creek also has a $5,000 one-time Community Fee. Memory Care includes care up to 150 points. If a resident needs support beyond that level, additional Care Points are billed at $20 per point, per month. Rates are effective April 1, 2026 and subject to change, so confirm current rates, availability, and care assessment results directly with Bear Creek before making a decision.

What extra costs should families ask about?

Costs

Ask about the one-time Community Fee, any second-person fees, Care Points after assessment, and whether any optional support services add cost. Bear Creek has a $500 one-time pendant charge with no recurring monthly charge, a $3,000 room transfer fee, and Care Points at $20 per point, per month after included thresholds. Also ask which on-site services are billed separately. Third-party therapy services and some medical services may carry an additional cost.

What services are included in the monthly rent?

Included Services

Monthly rent includes three meals daily, community-wide WiFi, weekly housekeeping and linen changes, daily trash service, Comcast Xfinity high-definition cable TV, and utilities including electricity, water, trash, cable, and telephone. Residents also have care staff on-site 24 hours a day, Registered Nurse oversight, and an emergency pull cord monitored by staff 24 hours a day. Complimentary washers and dryers are available in each wing, and staff laundry services are available.

What apartment options should we ask about?

Apartments

For Assisted Living, families can compare three studio-based floor plans: Studio (394-434 square feet), Studio Patio (380-384 square feet), and Studio Large (505-507 square feet). For Memory Care, Bear Creek offers private studio apartments, including Studio (275-352 square feet) and Studio Large (295-426 square feet) layouts. Availability can change, so ask which specific layouts are open and which option best matches daily routine and support needs.

What is dining like, and can family members join for meals?

Dining

Bear Creek offers restaurant-style dining seven days a week with three meals a day prepared by an executive chef. The dining program emphasizes fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, weekly rotating chef specials, a standard restaurant-style menu, special holiday menus, and monthly food committee meetings where residents can share ideas with the chef. Family members can join residents for meals. Guest meals are $10 for breakfast and $17 for lunch or dinner. Friday happy hour runs from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with seasonal appetizers, local entertainment, and refreshments.

What does daily life look like beyond care?

Daily Life

Bear Creek's activities are built around resident interests, life experiences, and a sense of purpose. The activity calendar includes scenic drives, walking groups, discussion groups and speakers, exercise classes, music programs, knitting group, painting class, creative activities, bingo, intergenerational activities, holiday and family events, resident council, religious and spiritual programs, live music three days weekly, pet therapy, happy hours, and social events. The community also provides free scheduled transportation to doctor appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays within a 30-mile round trip, plus weekly bus transportation to local stores, banks, churches, and restaurants.

What does Memory Care include day to day?

Memory Care

Memory Care includes a secured setting, dedicated staff available 24 hours a day, daily activities, and a personalized daily care plan. Bear Creek gathers detailed resident histories during admissions through its My Story process so care plans can reflect each resident's past experiences, preferences, medical needs, and lifestyle choices. The neighborhood includes private studio apartments, newly remodeled dining and activity areas, a sensory room, and a secured courtyard with raised flower beds and walking paths. Memory Care programming includes art, music therapy, parachute games, hallway bowling, and other activities designed for social connection and cognitive engagement.

What medical and support services can be coordinated?

Support

Bear Creek can coordinate supportive services community-wide, including concierge physicians, home health, on-site audiology, podiatry, and hospice care. Available on-site medical services may include physicians, podiatry care, audiology, emergency care through concierge physicians, radiology, and third-party therapy services, with some services billed separately.
